Families can first visit the Moor Top parking lot and take the leisurely 2-mile Goosey Foot walk, which passes two of the area’s several tarns. They can also try the Mushroom cycling trail, where kids can have fun exploring the path and discovering the hidden wooden mushrooms.
You might want to advance to the cross-country and downhill mountain biking tracks once you’ve perfected your cycling technique. You can take the longer Hawkshead Moor trek, which offers spectacular views of Coniston Water and the heart of the Lake District, or the eerie Grizedale Tarn track, which passes through dark forests near Bogle Crag.
